Women Business Owners Are Making History

Investors are passing up a significant opportunity by failing to invest in female-founded firms. Women and people of color could accomplish far more with the same amount of money. A program in Raleigh is assisting jailed women to pursue entrepreneurship . Other groups in the Midwest assist female entrepreneurs. Three big banks in New York recently announced a $40 million investment in programs that help women and people of color. Even though the constitution promises equal chances for men and women, women are treated as inferiors in a male-dominated culture. Women are prevented from becoming successful entrepreneurs due to a lack of sufficient training, rigid social views, and limited possibilities.
